Well, tomorrow morning I'll be leaving Boston to get to Los Angeles for the gateway orientation. I've nearly finished packing, but I'm a bit overwhelmed. My last final exam was only on Wednesday, though school seems far away now, and I had a piano recital today, and recitals tend to be nerve-wracking for me (though it went quite well). I also went through an extremely upsetting ordeal late last week which took a significant emotional toll on me. I'm starting to feel better, but I'm still stressed out.
Anyway, once I've finished with everything at home and am ready to go tomorrow, I'm sure I'll be excited once again. The flight from L.A. to Tokyo will be on Tuesday, June 22 in the afternoon. My flight will then arrive in Tokyo in the evening on June 23. I'm sure I've told everyone about this already, but my birthday is on June 23! So the day I basically lose to traveling will be my 17th birthday. Great. It's ok though, because going to Japan has been my dream for a very long time :)
I hope to blog often once I am in Japan, but of course I may not always have the time or internet access.
Now I'll post a picture or two so that I'll be familiar with how to do it on this blog =)
This is a recent photo of me.
I better finish things up and make sure I get enough sleep, because I'm sure I'll have a long day tomorrow. Bye bye

Hi Anastasia!
ReplyDeleteI'm Chase's mom. I am so glad he posted your link too! You are going to have the most memorable time and it sounds like you have an excellent host family! You and Marina will probably be "sisters" for life! How cool is that! I hope you update often, because Chase has good intentions, but, well, he's a boy...
Have fun!
Jan
How are you doing? You know I cannot wait to hear on how your adventure is going!
